13th BC/MEND ML/ARD Workshop To be held at Simon Fraser in Vancouver in November 2006, topics to be covered include: hydrogeology and geochemistry; prediction and measurement of drainage chemistry; open pits and underground workings for waste disposal; and closure plans and post-closure performance.

Northern Latitude Mining Reclamation Scheduled for May 2007 in Juneau, Alaska, the objective of the workshop is to bring together governments, industry, First Nations, and Alaska Natives who undertake reclamation/remediation project or are involved in land management, particularly as related to mining.

Planning for Mine Closure. To be held in Santiago, Chile in October 2007, the Spanish invitation invites professionals, investigators, legislators, consultants, and other providers to the mining industry to attend this follow-up event to the First International Seminar on Mine Closure held in Australia.

30 Years of SMCRA. The request for papers is out for this meeting scheduled for June 2007 in Gillette, Wyoming. Topics include acid mine drainage concerns and solutions’ landscape stability; reclamation of hard rock mines; and case studies.

MEI Processing and Disposal of Mineral Industry Wastes 07. Minerals Engineering invites you to this conference planned for June 2007 in Falmouth, UK. The program is to be announced.

ICARD 8 The summer of 2009 seems a long way off. But it will take time to arrange to get to Skelleftea, Sweden which is hosting the ICARD 2009.
