John Chadwick of International Mining brings us another of those timely reviews on a topical mining subject: heap leaching. His paper is Heap leaching: moving with the times.

In the article he quotes two classic papers that are must-reads if you are interested in heap leach pads:

Next John tells us “Alexander Mining, a copper, gold and silver mining company with projects in Argentina and Peru, has developed a new ammonia heap leaching process for copper oxide deposits at its Leon copper project in Argentina.. AmmLeach, a wholly owned subsidiary, has been incorporated to develop and commercialize the ammonia leaching technology. Alexander has already demonstrated significant operating cost and environmental advantages compared with conventional acid heap leaching.”

Finally John tells us of heap leaching operations at the Caldag, Turkey operations, about which Chris Cann previously wrote in detail.

Now you have ten links to the original information. Enjoy.
