I received an email from the International Erosion Control Association inviting me to submit a presentation proposal for Environmental Connection 2009, IECA's annual conference and expo to be held February 9-12, 2009, in Reno, Nevada, USA.

Here are details on how to submit abstracts, from Kim Kline, Technical Resources Director at IECA:

I am currently accepting abstracts of 400 words or less which detail presentations on topics such as structural and non-structural BMPs, watershed hydrology and runoff management and prediction. Abstracts are due by Friday, June 6.

Your abstract will be reviewed by IECA's Professional Development Committee. To view the criteria the committee uses when reviewing abstracts visit http://www.ieca.org/conference/callpresentations/selectioncriteria.asp.

You will be notified of the committee's decision regarding your abstract on June 30. If accepted, you will have until October 3 to prepare your final presentation for review by the committee. Notification of final acceptance into the EC09 educational program will be sent on December 5. Presentations will be given February 9-12, 2008.

This is a great opportunity to publish your work, gain recognition from your peers and possibly receive an Award of Environmental Excellence.

Final presentations in the technical paper and case study formats will be included in the EC09 conference proceedings. Outstanding technical paper and case study submissions will be considered for an Award of Environmental Excellence. To be considered for year's awards program, you must submit your abstract by June 6.

In addition to case studies and technical papers, I am looking for poster presentations, forums, round table discussions and workshops. To see descriptions of each of these formats visit http://www.ieca.org/conference/callpresentations/presentationtypes.asp. Poster presentations abstracts have a deadline of June 30.
