PERTH, AUSTRALIA – The Ministry of Lands and Resources of China (MLR) are hosting a Resources Estimation seminar in Beijing in July 2010, that will include Micromine and Mr Mohan Srivastava.

Taking place at the Long Quan Hotel on July 5th and 6th, this two day educational seminar will examine both Chinese resource estimation methods and international best practice methods for resource estimation.

Featuring presentations from internationally renowned resource estimation expert, geostatician and international author, Mohan Srivastava, the seminar will also draw on opinions from experts in related subject areas.

Micromine Asia CEO, Dean O’Keefe says “We are so pleased to have been selected by the MLR to participate in this highly significant and noteworthy educational seminar, which should prove invaluable for a number of professions ranging from engineers and geologists, to managers.”

“The seminar content is broad, relevant to people from exploration and mining companies located both within and outside of China, who are seeking a better understanding of the methodology involved in improving project viability and economics.”

Mr O’Keefe continues, “The fact that Mohan Srivastava will be speaking is important as he is a recognised expert in the industry, and it is advantageous for people to be taught by the best, and be associated with leading international and local authorities on the subject.”

Themes covered during the two day seminar encompass information and case studies on topics such as resource estimation methods, best practices, modelling and rules and regulations for the announcement of resources in China and international best practice in resource estimation.
