We recently received the following figures from Amado Guzman, Principal Scientist at ARCADIS U.S. Inc. in Tucson, Arizona. The graphs show results from a monitoring system during a leaching experiment.

Here is what Mr. Guzman says about the results of their recently developed tools for monitoring leaching processes:

It is our experience that this type of information is of great value for the leaching of sulfides and provides insight into the reaction kinetics that otherwise is not available. The electrodes as developed to date are capable of measuring Temperature, Moisture content (from resistivity), and Eh (ORP). These measurements are equally valuable for Au or Cu sulfide ores. One of the major advantages of our equipment is its ability to query the process in 3D and in real-time. We have developed electrodes to instrument columns as small as 4” in diameter to actual heaps; the system is totally scalable so we can install and monitor 100’s of electrodes at once.
