There is a new exhibit that opened today at the Britannia Mine Museum, located just north of Vancouver, Canada. The exhibit which runs until June 15 showcases “amazing close-up images of minerals. These photographs are taken using microscopes and the right light. Amazing colours and patterns emerge from rock thin sections.”

The museum offers guided tours 7 days a week. The tours include a ride in the old underground copper mine, and a tour of the Mill Building. It is located on the beautiful Sea to Sky Highway (Highway 99), only 45 minutes north of Vancouver. For more information about the museum, please visit
