Long overdue news are finally coming from an America that's looking to regain some ground lost to decades of indecision, procrastination, politics and crooked reading of a multitude of environmental laws. America needs not only the well paid jobs that come with mining and mining related services but they also need to have on their soil reserves of critical & strategic metals (in their mines) not on ships coming from China (imports)!
Osler emailed it to me today and it certainly caught my attention.
"On May 16, 2012, the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Natural Resources passed the National Strategic and Critical Minerals Act (H.R. 4402), legislation intended to streamline the permitting process for mining operations in the United States. The bill directs the Secretary of the Interior and the Secretary of Agriculture to more efficiently develop domestic sources of minerals of strategic and critical importance to U.S. economic, national security and manufacturing capabilities."
